At the Vivint Smart Home Arena in Salt Lake City, over 4,500 Utah youth gathered for the Solutions Summit. The Summit, presented by United States Senator Mike Lee and Utah Attorney General Sean Reyes, featured the DEA 360 and Mark Wahlberg Youth Foundation’s Youth Summit on Opioid Awareness.
The Youth Summit presented a 3-hour program of education and entertainment. The cornerstone of the summit was the movie, “If Only,” and also featured educational and compelling presentations from Jim Wahlberg, Amber Baum, and ultimate fighting champion Court McGee.
More than 7,000 middle and high school students from throughout West Virginia gathered at the Charleston Civic Center for the West Virginia Youth Summit on Opioid Awareness. The high energy event focused on delivering the "drug free is up to me” message to all in attendance.
The Summit featured presentations from West Virginia Governor Jim Justice, US Attorney Mike Stuart, Jim Wahlberg, former NFL Player Chris Massey, Ultimate Fighter Court McGee, and several other advocates for prevention and education. The event also featured musical performances by country singer Jessie Chris, Rapper Antoine “AC” Cabarrus, and the band Qiet.
The New Mexico Youth Summit was designed to educate, inspire and engage area youth to be part of the solution to the opioid epidemic. The program included emotional presentations by local family members as well as youth in recovery speakers about the realities associated with drug use and abuse.
Compelling educational speeches were give by Jim Wahlberg and ultimate fighting champion Court McGee, among many other local advocates, government officials and celebrities.
